A great New Year’s resolution is to be more active and lose a bit of that holiday weight. Exercise is  easy in Glendale. Not only are there great walking and running trails, we also host some great events. I always find it easier to force myself to get out when I know that I am training for a specific event. So, why don’t you resolve to train for the Kiss Me I’m Irish Run? It's held on Saturday, March 15th, starting and ending at Westgate Entertainment District in front of Jobing.com Arena. The run/walk courses are flat and scenic, and there are distances for every level of ability
  • Irish “k” for families and kids
  • 4k “four leaf clover” run/walk where you might find a lucky shamrock on the course to turn in for a prize
  • 8k run/walk
  • 17k run
Come out on your own, or bring your family. You can even bring your dog to run or walk with you. Get in the spirit of St. Patty’s and wear your best green. There are prizes for the best St. Patty’s outfits for you and your dog. There will be live Irish music to get you in the spirit of things and a couple treats to celebrate your big finish, including a great big “kiss” when you cross the finish line (a chocolate kiss) and a green beer at McFadden’s compliments of the owner!
