On Saturday, September 7th 2019, The City of Glendale is celebrating National Teddy Bear Day. To honor the nostalgia and craftsmanship of the Teddy Bear, here are some of our favorite Teddy Bear themed experiences around the city! Shopper Spotlight: Bears & More Linda and Valerie opened up the shop Bears & More in 1992. Located in Historic Downtown Glendale’s Catlin Court, Bears & More is in one of the nationally registered bungalow-style houses, the architecture style that gives Catlin Court its quaint charm. Bears & More are stocked with some of the finest quality bears from Teddy Bear makers like Steiff, Deb Canham, Gund, and Boyds. Over the years, the owners have decided to include games, puzzles, books, and toys in their store. Bears and More will be selling new teddy bears to distribute to local Trauma Teddy programs, first responders and emergency rooms during Glendale’s National Teddy Bear Event.
